Lantern Hollow
Lantern Hollow is a point-and-tap adventure that trades action for atmosphere. You arrive in a fog-bound village looking for someone who vanished, and you piece the story together by exploring, talking to a handful of memorable residents, and solving the odd environmental puzzle.
The pacing is deliberately slow, and I mean that as praise. It gives you room to poke around, read the little notes tucked into drawers, and appreciate the moody art. The puzzles are logical rather than obtuse, which kept me from ever reaching for a walkthrough.
If you want twitch reflexes or a challenge, look elsewhere. But as an evening spent unwinding with a good little mystery, Lantern Hollow is exactly the kind of thing phones are perfect for. The ending stuck with me longer than I expected.
